Was on the highway on the way to work at 4 this morning. 4 lane highway with no traffic. I usually run only about 60-65 but this new 2 door civic with exhaust pulls up next to me and starts provoking me. At 4 in the morning its not hard for me to be provoked into anything. SO i oblige his request and i just toy with him for a minute as we take it to about 110 and i could tell his car was struggling. I decided to show him that TLs and Tl-Ss are not very slow. I ran it up to about 135 -140 and then let off. I slowed back to 65 and he stayed about 10 cars behind me for the rest of my journey. Oh well Its just a civic but still fun. BTW i drive a 2002 TL-S with no performance mods except K&N drop in.

 

may be he's thinking about getting a TL so he wanted to see how fast it really is..lol

 

Did you notice if it was the new SI or not?

 

it was debadged so i couldnt really tell. it did have a spoiler and foglights like the Si but i thought the new SI was a little quicker than that

 

The SI are about a car and a half slower than the '02 TL type-S from 60 to 110.

I really like the new 4 door SI's though...they should make an AWD Turbo model and name it Civic Ferio RS! to compete with Cobalt and SRT-4...maybe even the EVO and STI lol.

That might be dangerous though.

 

They do have the type r model that is as fast as a 1997 NSX Type S Zero on Suzuka, Nismo 350Z on Tsukuba, etc.

 

That's funny because this new si kept trying to race me so I decided to put bus lengths on him.. We lined up around 3 times on the freeway and I pulled hard on him everytime, but then I got tired of racing him so I just slowed down, but he kept pacing me to run again. I was like dude you lost it wasn't even close, but it was like he wanted to get owned!

 

I just have to chime in on this one...

On my way home from work last week on the highway there is an entrance and exit ramp to the county courts. A nasty ass looking almost candy apple red new gen civic enters the highway and paces me. His car was tinted out, exhaust, rims and it made me angry that the car looked so terrible. I nearly vomitted.

He tries to make a pull on me..I couldn't let that happen. So I quickly take the lead hoping theres a surprise in store.

Sure enough as I'm rounding a blind turn, I jam on the brakes as there is usually a state trooper hiding behind a sign right after the turn...ugly civic keeps at it.

I watch as the cop pulls out and lights up ugly civic. I guess he's going back to the courts pretty soon....

Yeah these guys and the new civics are worse than ricers with me. I got caught in a swarm of them on the highway the other night when i was out cruisin with the lady so i wasnt even thinking about playing. Then she told me i could mess their night up if i wanted.

I was running next to a red one that kept lurching forward a little every few seconds and so i looked over at him and with me windows down sunroof open and music turned up pulled on him hard. i messed with a few of them while working my way through the swarm and finally pulled up next to the front civic and i was messing with me and i couldnt pull from him and then he pulled off as i heard a blow off valve he pulled on me pretty good but it was fun.
