I like the Honda silicone spray because it has a reasonalby pleasant aroma. Some of the cheap silicone sprays smell horrible - like wiping your car down with a dead skunk.

I use 3M - it has a known amount of silicone other than the propellant/carrier oil - the others are anyone's guess.

What do you want to use the spray for? I bought some from Home Depot and it didn't really work worth the $3 I paid.

This is the oddest post I have seen tonight - what do you use it for? Why did you buy it? It is useful for dry lubrication of almost any moving part, reducing squeaks and buzzes, and treating rubber weatherstripping.

I also use it to keep the CV joints, steering rack, and rear suspension rubber boots flexible, after cleaning them.

That's what my local Acura dealer carries. ($1.98)
Do you have the Wet or Dry type ?
(I opted for the dry one)

How does silicone get distributed "dry"? Or do you mean when the propellant/carrier evaporates off, does it leave a dry film or some grease? Is that your Q?

No, mine is in a black can - dries dry. I have had it for a few years, so they may have changed the cosmetics.

Just got back from a 10 day vacation... following up on some posts that I had responded to.

RR: Not sure why every one of my posts you've responded to recently (the 303 Aerospace one comes to mind, for example) have such a negative tone to them, but my question was directed to the original poster, who simply asked for a silicone spray recommendation without any indication for his intended use. I'm sure some brands and types of silicone sprays work better for some things than others, hence my question. If I asked for an epoxy recommendation I don't expect someone to immediately suggest a metal epoxy without finding out what I intend to use the epoxy for.

And yes, while it is useful for dry lubrication (the reason I bought the can) it has proven to be more or less a placebo when it comes to fixing the supposed weatherstripping dry-rubber noise that I get in my driver and passenger door trims.
