Side Swiped - mirror and door handle damaged
I have had my 2008 CBP TLS for about a month and I just noticed that the passenger side was side swiped by another car. The only damage I can see are scraps on the mirror and front door handle.
Is it possible to buy these parts OEM? If so where?
Should I consider getting non OEM parts? Does anyone have photos of cool aftermarket mirrors or door handle?
Thanks.

This is hilarious. I see the topic side swiped and one would immediately think a horrible crash with blown airbags etc etc. Click the thread and see a incredibly minor scuff on two plastic parts of the car LOLOL. That will buff out no problem. First thing you can do is try a clay bar yourself. If that doesnt get it off go to a local body shop and they can buff or wetsand that out in 5 minutes and probably at very minimal cost. DO NOT go and get parts repainted because of that....it can be fixed and without having to put poorly repainted parts on your car. I would be VERY happy that no damage occurred to any metal body panels that could have scratched the paint or even worse dented it.

Doesn't seem like a car did that.
Buff the mirror and use touch-up paint for the handle.

You sure it was sideswiped? I'd think that another car would do a LOT more damage than two small scuffs. Looks like the previous owner maybe bumped into the side of their garage or something.

lol you're a very lucky man your door didn't get a far worst damage than that. A simple touch up or wet sanding it should do the trick. My car has been keyed, stabbed, dented on, and even crashed in the rear bumper by those stupid jeeps with long ass grills. Be happy

I agree that should be a buff job or at the most a touch-up.
JTS97Z28 - just out of curiosity, why do you assume it would be poorly painted?

The first thought that went in my head was "this is amazing, how could a car side swipe me this easy".
Now that I think about it, you are right. It was probably two separate incidents in a parking lot. Should start parking further from the store...
Will talk to the local body shop.

Where Did My Garage Go?!!

^^ When I was younger someone did something similar to my parents brand new SUV while I had it at and I brought it to a body shop right away (for fear of them blaming it on me, but it wasnt!) and they just wet sanded it and rubbed some compound on it and it looked like nothing ever happen to it. A ten dollar tip to the guy who helped me saved me a scolding...
