Side Mirrors!

Idk If this has been brought up before

but last nite after cleaning my 05 TL i jumped in the car to go to the gas station as i turn the steering wheel... i notices the side mirrors turn in and out along w the steering wheel...

At first didnt believe it so i hit my buddy up who has a 06 TL to test it out and BOOM! same thing... even he was left speechless...lol

idk if anyone else has ever seen this...
i kno that they turn when you reverse but didnt know that they moved along with the steering wheel...

So your saying each time I should turn my wheel my mirror glass moves, or the housing? I can tell you right now that this is false. The only time my mirror moves is when I put it in reverse when it is on that setting. Post up a video of this happening to you.

Of course I have a 08 so I can't exactly call you a liar.

alright, call me gullible or what not but i read this and had to go try it out, my mirrors did move very slightly when i had my car in drive or park sitting still..........But i do have to say the mirror moved due to the whole car moving to that side due to your wheels moving!!! its the car shifting very slightly that causes your mirrors to move...that is all.

So you're saying that when the car is in reverse that the wheels moving causes the mirrors to tilt?

Why would I want to look behind me while turning??? Emergency vehicles?

Tell me this car was designed for high speed pursuits.

i never said i had my car in reverse, i said in park or in drive just moving my wheel back and forth, the wheels moving back and forth cause the car to shift very little making it seem like the mirrors are moving.

Correct, but the whole car is "shifting" not the mirrors themselves like the OP described.

this is retarded.. there is absolutely no reason why a mirror should move or tilt while your turning.. serves no purpose.

getting trolled here.

maybe your mirror is lose causing the effects of movement of the mirrors while driving.

If your mirrors don't move or tilt, it's because you're extremely low on mirror fluid. I suggest going to the dealer to get this problem fixed.

I had my mirror fluid replaced just the other day when they did my PS hose recall.. It was cheap only like 37 dollars to get it changed. I can't believe the difference it made in the mirrors moving more smoothly within the housings.

Is your mirror switch in the middle or on the R?

And I tried this a while ago after cleaning my car a bit LOL and it does wiggle around a bit in a circular movement. I guess it happens on all cars , I have a TSX

Like the lexus.

The Mazda CX-9 you can adjust your headlights low middle and high so you could purposely ride your lights high or set them down a bit. Great for hauling cargo or empty.

I digress.

When I turn my steering wheel my two front wheels turn in the same direction. Is that normal?
