Side Mirror Indicators

I can't understand for the life of me why the TSX has the turn indicators and the new TL does not. Does anyone know why? That is so stupid.

Then what Acura should have done was put them on the TL and not the TSX. They are not thinking.

I think they are thinking. They realized that if you have side markers and lights on the mirror, it would look like overkill. As cool as the mirror lights look, having them along with the side marker would've looked bad. I think Acura shouldn't have bothered putting the side marker lights. Then they would have been free to put them on the mirrors where they make more sense.

Same here... Although they should have at least make the side markers blink when turning signals and hazard is being used.

I see a customization opportunity here...

I guess those guys who REALLY want the Benz-ish side-mirror illumination "could" simply "rip out the existing ones and purchase a pair of the TSX ones" in their place. I took a close look at the dimensions of the two when I was at the dealership (because me CLK has them and I was surprised to find them on the TSX). The dimensions look idenitcal. Then again, that would probably be too easy. Probably a completely different wiring harness inside to confound it all.....

The TSX is based on the European Accord, which has them. Seems like a Euro-market feature to me. Probably just carried along for the ride when they picked the base car.

TL is based on the US Accord, which oddly enough doesn't have them either.

I certainly don't care whether my car has them or not.

The reason side view mirror turn signals or fender signals are important in today's MiniVan and SUV world is because it may be the only way one of those drivers might know you're going to turn.

So you're turning in a position where a minivan or SUV driver who needs to know can only see your mirror indicator. I'm having trouble envisioning the scenario where this would be true and you really should be making the turn.

Yeah! What the hell! You guys never stop complaining. I like the look of the lights on the fenders and quarter panels of the TL better than the mirror lights of the TSX. What, you guys want all three lights on the TL? AAAAARRRRGGGGHHHHH!:wow:

I want somebody to string some Christmas lights on their TL. That'd be wicked.

Seriously, the biggest complaint I had originally about the TL was that from the front it looks exactly like a TSX... except for the side view mirror blinkers of course. I'm not sure what the hell they were thinking... I kept going to dealer lots and thought they had a row of TL's, but they turned out to be TSX's. Then I discovered the side mirror lights... doh.
