Looking to get some smoked white LED side markers and some black w/clear lens tails. I found one site (Unique Style Racing) that had both items I want (made by Depo), but wasn't sure of the reputation, if any, they may have.

Let me know if there are any alternative vendors you might recommend.

AckTL05 - sells OEM parts, a bit pricey but will be peace for your mind. He also custom tails.

 

USR is legit =)

 

From what I read on their site, they supply Depos, and based on some of the comments I read on the DIY thread related to the install, the Depos seem to have leak issues...even with reusing the gasket. I think I might seek OEM stuff from the Azine member mentioned above. Ease of mind goes a long way with me so I'll gladly pay a few extra bucks if need be.

Well if he sells the side markers I want then AckTL05 just may be my one-stop-shop. If not, I'm content with getting the side markers from USR...should just be a simple plug-n-play . I'll shoot him a PM.

Also, are all the tails 'universal'. Do I need to worry about fitment? Not sure if what I'm looking at are Type-S tails or not. Probably something I'll let AckTL05 sort out but figured I'll throw it out there.

I must have misread your post because it sounded like you wanted to know if the seller is any good or "legit"; not the product they sell lol

As for the sidemarkers, the only way to make them light up white is if you buy them from USR, get one made, or make one yourself (put in white LEDS).

As for the tail lights by DEPO, I know many that are satisfied, such as cjTL =)

If you want to buy OEM ones and get them modded by AckTL by all means do it lol

 

Yep, all the tail lights are universal.

The fitment from DEPO is actually really good.

Also add TLDude876 to one of the members satisifed with DEPO lol

 

No misread. My initial input was simply regarding USR's legitimacy as a vendor. The Depo concerns were an after thought.

 

OP - you might also consider Mr. HeelToe - he sells a Type S kit of rear sidemarkers & OEM tails. The thing is, you'd have to send them to someone like AckTL05 to get them modded - so you're best bet is probably to go one-stop shopping with Ack.

ACK is a killer good vendor with high high satisfaction guarantee and very high high prices

 

Been very happy with my depo taillights from Neondials on ebay. They are well made and have no leak issues so far. I also used new seals from my dealership when I put them on. They are clearer than they used to be as well where the brake lights light up, so no issues with the scumbag cops. Cost me $167 shipped and $20 or so for the seals.

I do want type s side markers but the stealership is too proud of them at $80 each. Have not found a good reliable reasonable source for these yet. I really like the look of the OEM ones over the more reasonable aftermarkets.

Happy with my Depo's as well, great quality for the price, fitment is not that bad, and I have no leaks, even when I over torque the nuts down while squeezing the gasket. No complaints here. gl.

What do you guys think about this setup on a WDP?

Anyone got some pics they want to share of their setup? Whatever color or style combo you have--tails and/or sides.

All this positive feedback I'm hearing has got me wanting to pull-the-trigger with one of these setups!

I checked out neondials on ebay and they had basically the exact item as USR had (black/smoke or black/clear). USR's were $199 with shipping and neondials were $167 & free shipping. Neondials FTW! Hope he has my side markers I want too. Think I'm just going to do the fronts tho...I heard it's illegal to have white LED on the rear. Looks like I got my tail light situation figured out. Now onto the side markers. Gonna cross my fingers and pull the trigger on the tails tonight .

I have emailed him (fishcake) on ebay before and he has done a sort of coupon for Azine people....let me send him another PM if we gauge enough interest and if the mods are ok with it....

True....you cannot have any colors other than Red in the rear half of the car and only amber/white/ on the front half of the car....

i think another vendor on ebay has the side marker deal where you can get white for the front and red for the rear....

 

He was talking about gerzand not making/modifying sidemarkers for other people lol

I highly doubt it is anything to do with the tails/sidemarkers so you can put down that gun LOL....

He didnt mention much but said something that TL doesnt have and the TL-S does....so I will like, ok send me the pic or it you want to test fit it on my car...lemme know....
