do not go midnight purple trust me its super ugly........
i voted go custom color. but for complete color change for that cheap???? better make sure of their work? do they acutally take the time to rip the car part? do the sand the car properly? do they block the car properly? do the buff the car properly? just a few examples. Make sure they dont mix clear and paint in the same batch ( many cheap places do that to cut corners and cut cost, turns out terrible). Complete color change alone for many cars cost over 1k for paint and materials ALONE. A complete color change from a reputable shop will cost anywhere from 4k to 5k done correct.
on another note if you want to see a proper body work and paint job, here is my thread https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-photograph-gallery-96/praxis-764733/

To cover up the chips in the front would take some work. If they just paint over them it will look worse than if you never painted. You either need to strip area's to be painted, or what I just did, fill in all the chips and raise them up then sand them down. If you do it right you don't even need to repaint. Just be careful not to cut through. My vote is to keep it green. You can make it look great and you will stand out at any meet from the gazillion NPB's there.

Keep Right Except to Pass
I've always liked the DGP, so my vote goes with keeping it that way. Also, my TL is NBP and, as has already been mentioned, it is a pain in the ARSE keeping it clean and looking good. Every bit of dirt shows up, and at this time of year with all the pollen in the air (this year seems worse than usual) you can forget about keeping it clean for even 24 hours unless you never take it out of the garage. NBP looks fabulous when it's clean, though.
I agree with the others who are skeptical of the quoted $600 figure.
Regarding matte black—Alex Ovechkin has a matte black Mercedes SL65 AMG Black Series. Talk about a distinctive paint job. People's heads snap around because it's so unusual-looking. I think it might look a bit funny on the TL, but from seeing Ovechkin's car I think it might be easier to maintain matte black than it is to maintain the NBP. I'll try to find a picture....every time I've seen it I haven't had a camera with me.

600 is a steal for a quality color change. Quality painting materials cost at least half that for a complete color change.
NBP is the most common Honda black. I would keep it DGP. If anything, just have then refinish the car with DGP. If it's a quality job/materials, you will end up with a finish that is superior to the OEM finish.

FWIW, when I was in the hunt for a TL, I wasn't even looking at black, silver, or white. Waaaay too many of those colors out there. I think having a unique color makes it easier to sell rather than harder.

There are a million and 1 nbp's out there. Your car is a rare color and looks great. Plus nbp sucks to keep clean. Dont be like the rest.

+1....Every 07-08 NBP Preowned TL I looked at had swirls in the paint. Before the TL I was looking at 04-06 BMW 525i/530i and their black paint is immaculate. So if you were to change to "black" I would change to a higher quality "black paint." Lol....so I settled for CBP!~~
