You can hold the gear out longer in SS, just be carefull not to hit the fuel cut. Go to the 1/4 and do time tests and see which is fastest for you.

Till what rpm can you hold the gear?
On my old CL-S redline showed 7k rpm but you could take it to 7.2

You are an 18 year old punk AZN_XXXD. You shoud use the few braincells your young body has developed to learn about the machine you are driving. Traveling at twice the highway speed limit is NOT a smart thing to do if you don't even know what gear selection technique to use.

Seriously... you've had your ride for less than three months, right? DON't become a statistic. Your parents will NOT be happy. And if the po-po catch you... well, you might just end up with a suspended license, and having one of those sucks big time.

dude...learn how to drive before you race. I have nothing against safe condition racing when no one is around..but you racing other poeple and doing stupid stuff when you don't even know how to operate your car is kidna ridiculous.

Best shift rpm is not always the same as max rpm. Use of a G-Tech or similar meter in your car will show where the torque bands runs out, thats what shifting is all about!~

as for the young street racer...take it from someone whos done a lot of stupid shit(tagged for racing, drifting and crashing more than once, and runnin from 5-0) with his car......its not worth it man if u wanna race go to the track.

Redline on the TL-p's tach starts @ 6,500. But you can take it to ~6,800 w/ out the car freaking out.
Get it to 7k+, like I once did accidently while passing a dump truck, and it starts bouncing off the rev limiter, makes scary noises, and throws the fuel warning light. I mistakenly thought that when in "SS" mode, if you missed a shift, the tranny would shift itself. In my experience, it only does this when you are around 2500-3500k. When accelerating @ full throttle high up in the rpm's, you are on your own.
