Settling time for new paint before Zaino

I just got my front bumper repainted under warranty due to some crappy finishing on the edges and some peeling paint near where the bumper meets the front fender . But I have a question, my newly painted bumper looks noticeably less glossy than the rest of my hood. At first I thought they forgot to put the clear coat, however, upon close inspection it has been applied. Is there a typical waiting period that I should adhere to before I apply a few coats of Zaino to blend everything out? Fortunatley, I have WDP so it's less sightly than would be the case if I had a darker color.

Thanks in advance.

If it is that noticeable, you ought to have it redone. Zaino can add some gloss, but nothing that dramatic. They may not have adequately buffed out the clear, or applied it flat. Before you monkey with it and give them an "out", I would take it back for them to review.

i agree with road rage....however the answer to your question, how long after a repaint should you zaino, or wax, is about 3 days.

Someone did a hit and run on my new Pilot. (Nighthawk Plack Pearl) The place that did the repair work does all the Lexus, Acura and Honda repair work in this area. The instructions I received say only to hand wash the car with mild detergent and not to wax the redone area for 6 weeks.

I would call Zaino - factory paint is water-based, but aftermarket repairs are solvent-based, and it is possible that a sealant might cause polymerization.
