Let's not get excited yet. This, I think, is the first time we have seen an A12 reported.
See page 199 for what's included in this service.
The 2 service includes replacing the air filter, and the dust and pollen filter underneath the dash board. Both filters will cost about $60 at the dealer. The air filter is easy to change, but the dust and pollen filter requires removal of the glove box and takes a little more time.
So take the $70 you are paying for the oil and filter change and tire roation, which is about average, add $60 for parts and $30 for labor=$160.
Sounds fair to me. Not as cheap as buying the parts yourself and doing all the necessary maintenance, but not everyone can or wants to do that.

2004 TL w/ 6MT & Navi
My TL is almost at this point. I will have them do the oil change (as usual) and maybe the dust and pollen filter (if I can't do it myself)...that's it. I get the tires rotated for free at Firestone and have a K&N air filter.

Talk about paying what the market will allow....
I just took mine in for A12. Got quoted $292 when I was asked to sign for the authorization to do the work. I mentioned that I thought this was high. That I had seen it on the Forum for much less. The cost of the two filters about $70 etc. I was then told the dealer would match any local Acura dealer's price. My advisor was kind enough to make the calls. I was able to get the service done for $192 the same as the lowest dealer he called. While this is more then the $160 mentioned above, clearly these prices are generated regionally. A shining example of knowledge is your best tool against rip off! Moral of the story is know what you are getting before you sign away your money. Thanks to my fellow Forum members for your knowledge and information. As a team we can all save time and money.
