I notice many of you talking about getting A1, B2, etc service codes through your MID. I purchased my 06 TL 2 years ago with 40k miles. I now have 77k miles. I have never gotten any service notifications! I change my oil according to the MID at a Honda dealership, but that is all I have ever done. I read another post and some of you say that you do a tranny flush and fill every 15k and I am like "Oh sh*t! I am about to tear something up." Why would I have never gotten one of those codes/notifications?

 

Perhaps the Honda dealer is clearing them out when the oil change is happening. I change my own oil and see the service notifications- it says 'Service Due Soon' and I can clear it out.

 

I was wondering if that was the case. I will be getting the rest of my fluids changed this week.

 

do a 3 qt drain a fill on the trans- use Honda ATF
flush the brake fluid- any brand DOT4
flush the power steering fluid Honda PS fluid

All are very easy DIY with minimal skills and tools, buying everything is cheaper than just the brake fluid flush at shops
