Service Manual Help
Hello again,
Could someone with a service manual for an 04 please list, if any, the procedure or pages for headlight adjustment other than simple up/down. I am thinking there must be a tilt adjustment on them or something of the like, as my drivers side lamp not only is slighlty lower, but appears to be completely tilted at an angle compared to the passengers side, thus I am getting a blank spot with no light in the center of the beams instead of a solid projection of light. I imagine this cannot be the way the designed these lamps to be aimed as this drives me nuts when driving at night.
If anyone has any info what so ever it would be greatly appreciated as I have already had the car back at the dealer and they told me they "fixed" the problem, which of course they actually made worse.
Thank you,
Eric

Bad news dude... I took my '04 for in for the same thing. The service manager actually agreed with me that something was not quite right with the aim on the headlights. They ended up calling Acura on it and found that they are intentionally designed that way. The reason for the design, so they said, is to keep from blinding on-coming drivers on two-lane roads. The upside to all of this is that I don't really notice it anymore. Hope the same happens for you!

Hello,
Thanks for the quick response.
I truely believe this cannot be intentional. I am going to check into it when I get back from a business trip in a couple weeks, but this seems so odd.
The beam from the right side is actually slanted down towards the left if you are looking out of the winshield from inside the car. I can believe that this is supposed to be lower, but other people stated that they simply raised the lamp via the adjustment on the top of the engine and it was fixed. When I try to raise it, the beam is still tilted down towards the left (ground) and there is a "step" if you will where the two beams meet in the middle.
Does yours look simuliar.
Thanks,
Eric
