Service B

What's the going price at an Acura dealer for a Service B? Seeing as it is pretty much an oil change and quick look over I was surprised to find out they were charging $125. Is there more to it then I am giving credit for?

I think they also change the filters (cabin & engine). They also do a bunch of BS checks, breaks, belts, ect. that they may charge for. I tell them not to do this. I had a Audi before and the checks cost me 1.5 hours in labor. Total crap.

Also the brake system is due at 36,000 so I had them do that as well. Although the dealer couldn't find a milage or length interval for the clutch fluid I just had that done as well. Rather be safe that sorry.

B service includes a tire rotation. Same service is @$80 at an independent shop; look for Acura and/or Honda specialists.
The B service does NOT include the engine air and cabin filters; it's the B2 or B3 service that includes filters (I think, check your manual or Owner Link website for full explanation of A, B and 1-5 sub-codes). Dealers will charge @ $250-350 for services that include changing filters.

Right. I was refering to the B2 service. Thanks for the correction. The owners manual is best place to check what each of the letters and subcodes require. I am sure this has been covered elswhere.
