Service ?
Service ?
Well, Basically I am asking for anybody who can help me to chip in. Recently I stopped going to Acura for my services. I dont know about the states but ACURA in TORONTO rips you off to the fullest. So my question is this I have a 2008 Acura TL S 5 AT and I have managed to put 51000 KM since last February. Just driving everyday I can feel that a service is really needed. What kind of service or what should the service include at 50 000 KM because quite frankly I called Acura and they told me to just come in and get it done but I rather get it done elsewhere and save some money ! Some help would greatly be appreciated
THANKS .
Somebody said that a 3 x 3 Tranny Flush is a must. My gears are changing wierd like not how they used to and car feels like its been raped.. Well technically it has I been driving it hard since I got it no break in no nothing !
IF canada has the same gas as USA gas--are you using Tier 1 quality gas?
that has twice the us govt min amounts of cleaners added to it- helps keep the engine clean inside, BUT it still helps to do an induction cleaning-
If not availble there- then do a cleaning for sure!
thats Seafoam or wynns or BG or other specific products to `decarbonize` the internals
Even some buildup is evident at your mileage-
20 bucks for 2 cans, 1 in half tank of gas and one in the intake vac port does it good for a year
Use only 91 octane- or higher if thats what they sell in your area
check tire pressure
change oil and filter every 7500 MILES use good 5w20 oil of your choice
A small private shop can do oil change if you dont DIY things like that
35-50$ in the usa,
the owner book has a list of things to visually inspect while its getting oil change- looking for leaks- broken parts- worn brakes and tires
Keep all the receipts with date- miles- parts used,, just in case

Changing the trans fluid at around 30k miles is a good idea, IMO. Even though Acura says 60k for severe service, with the history of the trannys in these cars I'd rather pay the $$$$$ for changing the fluid more often than spending a couple thousand dollars on a new trans.
