So what's the best way to sell my TL? Have people had better luck with craigslist, carmax, local papers, auto trader?
Just looking to get a decent price for my silver 04 TL w/Nav, backup sensors and only 19,360 miles on it. (yes really, I didn't end up driving it much)
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

All of those options are good, you should list the car on all of those sites, including the classified (Black Market) section of Acurazine. You shouldn't have a hard time getting rid of it with such low mileage on it. Good luck!
All of the above. Presentation is everything so having a nice clean car will make it sell itself. Since you're the original owner, I would present all your receipts and window sticker in a nice folder along with a brochure if you still have one. That car will easily sell if it's clean and in good working order.
Either of the sites listed are good. I have only sold cars through AutoTrader and have always had good luck. My cars sell to first person who physically comes to see the car and I think you will have the same luck if the car is priced correctly. You could also simply park the car in a place where there are lots of eyeballs (near Costco Gas Station as one example) and it could sell pretty quickly.
Good luck!

Wow, very low mileage! I have used auto trader with great success! Like Lacosta said above, a clean car with all maintenance receipts and priced right can sell to the first person that looks at it. Good Luck!
Any specific reason for the sale? Need something different? Any relatives in your family with younger kids (~16-18)?

What they said above is 100% spot on. One additional thing I would like to add which is almost just important. A well put together add is also what sells a car. I have seen adds where sellers mispell everything in their description, say the most pointless things, and have the worst pictures ever. As you could imagine, I skip that car and don't even look twice. A great add is key!
An ad is everything. Imagine what you would want to know about the car if you were looking for a TL. The car is already well designed compared to other cars of like age and price range. You need to convince people why your TL is better than the TLs from other people or dealerships- that should be the goal of the ad.
For AutoTrader like ads where you can have expanded description- give the reader a reason to give you a call because the ad shows your love for that car. Here's an ad that has worked for me for our old Suburu when we bought a 2005 Honda Pilot for replacement- you can improvise for a TL:
$10,500
1998 White 5spd with charcoal Leather and 80K miles. This car is very clean and we are the original owners of it. The car's condition is excellent and it should compare very favorably to Outbacks half its age. It has never been in an accident and no one has smoked in the car. The car has been garaged 99% of its life and the paint condition shows it.
The car has been regularly serviced with 5K oil changes and has recent Michelin OEM tires. The extras included are: 20% window tint, Pioneer Single-CD Stereo with external jack (for IPOD, etc.), 4 upgraded Sony speakers, Fumitomo quick change oil plug, Yakima King Cobra bike rack, new all-season rubber floor mats, tweater kit, security system, leather shift knob, and even a service manual. We also have all the service records as well as original window sticker. The mileage is good for a AWD vehicle: 21MPG around town and 26 on highway.
The Suburu has proven to be a great car over the years and has served us well. We basically out-grew the car now. The 5-speed is a great way to go for Outbacks in that AWD is full-time 50% front, 50% rear as opposed to the 90/10 of an automatic. In addition, the car performs much better than the autos and gets better mileage.

Excellent info, thanks for the recommendations!
As far as why I am selling to those who asked, I am looking at getting a Nissan Leaf because of all the tax credits and we are in the lowest cost electricity area in California basically. Not as fun of a car as the TL obviously but it makes more sense for us.

I have used all the above and more, but the a clean car, stating super low mileage on the street corner has worked best for my other cars. I always have people asking about the TL's but never sold them.
^ Yes the miles are almost too low for an 8 year old car. As long as the car has been garaged, it should show quite nicely and sell itself as long as it is priced properly. I say go for it and see what happens.
^ yep a couple of misspellings but that ad (notice that word is not misspelled) generated a lot of calls and sold the car to first person checking it out. In fact, all my cars have sold to first person checking out the car so this is no fluke- 5 vehicles have been sold this way in total and only one was traded in.
The idea is to give the reader useful information that gets them to give you a call. Parking a car helps, but you get more 'Do you want to trade?' type inquiries than legitimate buyers based on my past experience.
