Hello All,

I purchased a new Acura TL on thursday, and it is simply awesome driving it!

I had a question about the Security System though. It may have been posted before, but I couldn't find it in the search results.

When I lock the doors and the trunk, the security system on the driver's door starts blinking (as it should)

However, if I try pulling on the door handles or inserting some false key deliberately, still the alarm does not sound.

I contacted my dealer, and he said that many security systems had become too sensitive, so acura made this system so that if someone actually broke in, then the alarm will sound.

To me that seems too late to sound the alarm.

Do you guys also have a similar system or is it some bug in my car?

Thanks a lot

Why would you want the alarm to go off if someone were to pull on the door handle?

It won't sound unless you try to open it. And, there is no impact sensor. (I wish I be wrong here... )
