Secondary headlight (not HID) replacement pricing
Hi
My secondary headlight (I suppose it's called the flood light). I want to get it replaced and was wondering what is the best way to get this done. The dealer will give me a price for the replacement but I am willing to get this from somewhere else. What should I be paying for this part so I don't get ripped off? Do you know of a supplier that can sell me this at a better price?
Thanks

Some people say you can replace the bulbs without removing the headlights.. I don't see how unless you get a 4 year old to do it.

AMUA6: Thanks for the reply. You are correct. It's the light next to the HID and it's a 2006. Sorry about the confusion.
What do you mean about having a 4 year old do it, are the parts really small? Will I have to replace the entire headlamp assembly or can I just replace the bulb? What are the specs on that bulb so that I can start doing some searching?
Thanks.

no...you can...you just have to take off a little plastic piece on the driver's side for the air intake. the passenger side is easily accessible. the only thing is you do have to go in blind a little b/c the upper frame portion blocks your view...just look through the headlight lens itself and you'll be able to see the bulb when it's close by.

Bought my 2-pack of Sylvania 9006 bulbs today. Only one is burned out, but will replace the pair so they look the same, and keep the old one for a spare.
I did just briefly see what I was up against. The driver's side didn't look too terribly fun, but it appears doable. Looks like my plastic cover piece has a couple of securing tabs broken off though.
Did not look at passenger side, but glad to hear it is easier.
Oh, and they're about $12-$13 bucks apiece I believe.....

Thanks all, you just saved me some $$$. They wanted to charge me $50 for the bulb and they wouldn't come down on the price even after telling them I can get 2 bulb set for half that. Kinda crappy of them they want to rip me off on a $10 bulb and some labor. I ordered the parts and have looked at some instructions on how to install them. It is the driver's side so it makes it a bit more work, but nothing too complicated.
Again, thanks for the support, those that replied!
