Seat replacement --
Howdy y'all -
The leather in my drivers seat is shredded from use and abuse. It's hard for me to justify the hundreds on new leather or re-upholstering...
Is it pretty straight-forward to swap out a seat if I can find one in good shape at local junkyard? I imagine it's just bolts, some stuff to unplug, and a little muscle?

Very easy to remove the front seats. 4 bolts and a few connectors. I believe there’s a thread somewhere on this forum but basically run the seat all the way front. Remove 2 rear covers and bolts. Run seat all the way back. Remove front bolts. Tip seat back to expose connectors. Unplug battery. (You don’t want accidental air bag deployment) unplug connectors to seat (power, airbags, heater). Place towel on door sill to protect sill. Remove seat. They are heavy so a helper is nice.
I removed mine and replaced the leather. Was a project but saved $ diy and the new leather matches the originals very well.
