Seat Bottom Replacements

I want to get my seat bottom replace in my 04 due to bad butt prints. I just contacted my local dealer in NJ and they told me since it was a different year they couldnt replace them.

Who in NJ has had there seat bottoms replaced and where?

I had my seat bottom's and back replaced with the '05 style. They threw in the backs just to make sure the color matched although there wasn't anything wrong with the leather on the seatback. Getting the '05 style is a real pain. It's not just a matter of replacing the leather, the cushion and seat heater also has to be changed. It's a real pain..trust me!!

That is where I bought my car but I don't get it serviced there. Who did you speak to and did they give you any problems when you asked.

NO...it was definately worth having it done. It just took several trips to the dealer while they went thru the learning curve about the cushions and seat heater. Each time, they found something new that had to be replaced, then ordering the parts required another wait and return to the dealer after the parts came in. All in all....3 trips to get the job done. It looks GREAT!! Also.....don't expect the warranty to cover much besides the leather. I was lucky and got the seatbacks for free. The cushions are around $98, and the heaters $90. The labor was free. They did a great job, the seats look fantansic, and an added bonus I don't seem to get the little white threads from the holes in the leather I had before. I think the leather might be improved slightly in the '05 series. The mechanic was great...not one scratch on my car, and the fit of the leather is perfect. I couldn't be happier.
