Search! Stop spoon feeding

Search! Stop spoon feeding
OK, so I been on here since 2009 and I still feel like a noob, always learning, trying to learn or just reading as much as I can...
but I searched, and searched and searched again for things before I put my questions out there... now there have been times when folks have find threads I just couldn’t find and I try and learn from that
however, it seems like now anyone who has joined recently does not want to search or just doesn’t want to read all the threads out there on the subject.. its getting annoying with all the spoon feeding
again I am not saying don’t ask for help but ask after you did your search because a lot, and I mean a lot of TL owners have done their homework and posted information for others to read... TL owners have spent their hard time researching the information and making it available for other owners to take advantage of
if you are unsure how to search I always search within the titles.. and use " " to look for a specific word.. if you do xxxx for all posts then you just get back hundreds of items.. narrow your search and you will find what you need
and if you do get back a lot of threads then just look for the ones that have more pages written because they usually end up having a lot of valid information
if you don’t have time to search and read then don’t mod your car
if you want to be spoon fed then get a Civic or BMW
there is no stupid question as long as you did your homework
(and for the folks who have taught me about this car, stop enabling them if you know they didn’t search, all you are doing is perpetuating the annoying behavior)

you have to realize, that sometimes someone can search and search and not find something. But when they ask, someone can come along and do the search and find it for them. Sometimes having someone else look at your problem can come with better results. I know this has happened to me a bunch of times.

Someone didn't take their prozac today. What gives you the right to tell everyone not to help out the new people? I'm the first person to search anything, but if I can't find a good or correct answer (even bringing up old threads people STILL get flamed for that), I'm going to open a fresh thread with a different circumstance or situation. Stop letting bullshit get under your skin so much..this is the internet... if you don't like it, just move on.

"honey its not what you said, its how you said it"
he is a great/knowledgeable guy....
and i understand his point of view....but we live in an imperfect world...and when people keep asking what exhaust to get it does get irritating at a point...
which reminds me
will the 5x120 rims fit my 05 TL ?

LOL this topic is just like a what weight oil do i need. honestly you will soon learn as the value drops on the Acura that more and more first time drivers will own one. Most of the first time owners are internet savvy but LAZY. why search 15 min when I can post and get a response in email that only takes 2 min. its been the same way on every forum since bulletin boards if you need to vent then vent and move on. Im sure you will see a "what tire fits my car latter today" lol

this thread is more useless than a new thread asking "what mod should i do?"
Nobody will likely be searching for a thread "use the search button" and noobs certainly won't be reading this thread.
This thread will just become another junk thread stockpiled in the heap of threads already out there.
More junk to sift through for when I DO perform a search. I hate that.

If you are new you need to search before posting a thread. There is so much information in the garage and all over this site. I guarantee you its been asked before.
Treat new members with respect. I was new once and had no idea how to use the search function. Lets help them out, thats why we are here. Theres nothing wrong with telling them to search, just be respectful about it.
....
This forum is information based. We try to keep it that way. If you have nothing to add to a thread then do not post. People start threads here because they need answers. If you can't provide any input you are better off not posting.
....
Thank you for your cooperation.

Its not like you are paying to use this forum, its a free forum, all are welcome. And btw, every single forum has this 'issue'. Not a big deal, skip the repetitive threads if they bug you.
PS does anyone know how much a rear decklid spoiler is? Or where I can get one?? Whats aspec??

It's a forum... this is normal behavior. To be honest, having new threads about old topics is great sometimes. I'd rather have people posting the same information over and over instead of running across some old dusty threads nobody has touched in the back of the skeleton closet that some forums become. New posts signify some life and community activity.
If everyone just read the same old posts, you wouldn't get as much innovation. Eventually some_random_joe_00 is going to roll in here and ask how to install some_random_part_00 and people will respond (if they are not being grouchy) with some good tips that may not have been touched on in the original thread that was made 6 years ago.

I find using Google then the topic and adding the word acurazine works best as mentioned by ggesq
EDIT: Or the method by TmaX =)
I also click "find more results from acurazine" or whatever it is lol

As a newer member, I know I have posted 2 new threads asking questions that have obviously been asked before ( lets face it, 6 years go by for a car and everything has been done to it thats possible), the first couple of responses were nice, courteous and helpful, making me want to come back here for everything which is what the owner of this forum wants right? Then we get some people who do this
" JUST FUCKING SEARCH IT K, I MEAN CMON BRO WTF IS A SEARCH BAR FOR? GAWD. FUCKING NOOBS "
or this one
This question has been asked so many times, just search it...idiot
now I can understand that people get annoyed answering the same question over and over...But is it necessary to insult the guy who probably just bought his car and is in love with it as much as you are? No its not, all it does is give people on here a bad rep honestly. And another member said it perfectly " every circumstance is different" and really, not everyone understands the DIY and needs clarification with one thing or another.
Sorry for ranting...I've just noticed this alot on this board and I feel like it makes Acura owners seem like Volvo owners..LOL. no but seriously, everyone should chill out and help the noobs...like me :3
