Scratches in the Clear Coat

Just got my car cleaned at a hand car wash. When I got home and had a close look at my car I notice fine scratches in the clear coat of the paint above the door. When they cleaned the roof they must have leaned against the paint there with something leaving fine marks in the clear coat. Is there a way of getting rid of these clear coat scratches?

I guess I really should have cleaned the car myself but never having had a dark colour car I never gave it much thought. I thought that a hand car wash would have been okay.

Always trust a professional: do it yourself. I spend $50 in cleaning supplies to do it myself. Its a lot of fun. People stop by and ask you questions, you can say hello to all the people in your neighborhood.

Fine Scratches

It's used by the body shops, car detailers swear by it, and I use it!!!

www.meguiars.com

ENOUGH SAID!!!

Use the Fine Cut-Cleaner, then either New Car Glaze or Show Car Glaze and then a bit of #9 Swirl Remover.

This stuff works!!!

Good Luck

I will second the "do it yourself" mantra, especially with a black car. During the winter, you should use a brushless car wash, then handwash the salt or residual dirt off the sides with Zaino Z-7 wash. During the summer, just handwash with Z-7. Zaino swirl remover should do nicely, as would Meguiar's. The Zaino system worked nicely on my NBP 2002 TL.
