Scratch on side of console - any suggestions

Re: '06 TL with Navi - gray leather and console

I accidently put a few scratches on the side of my console trying to fish for my cell phone while driving with a bracelet on. It's not terrible but seeing as it is pretty new it is really bothering me. Any suggestions on how to make them dissapear?

Thanks!

If they are on plastic you can heat the plastic with a lighter or other heat source and once hot lay a fabric or something with the same surface markings as the original plastic. This will remold the plastic to the original texture. I used to work at circuit city's roadshop and any scratches accidentally made during an install were fixed this way. We used the butane soldering iron as a heat source and a piece of ABS plastic with a rough plastic surface to make the texture. Many times you can even just smooth the plastic with your finger once it has been heated up. Careful though not to get it too hot and melt through the surface making it look worse.

If you scratched it once you are likely to do it again, just leave it be and try to ignore it.

If it really bothers you that much just replace it, like everyone said, the plastic on this car is CHEAP.
