scratch remover recommendations

i recently got a light scratch (however about 12 inches long) from a shopping cart. it is barely noticeable and can be seen only if you know what you are looking for and look at it from an angle.

other than a paint job...does anybody have any recommendations to remove or mask the scratch. i heard that the "GS 27 Scratch Remover" product does not work however "Mother's California Gold Scratch Remover" does.

any other recommendations? or anybody have any experience with the above two products?

thnx

I had a similar situation. I tried the Mother's stuff followed by some car wax-scratches were gone. Just use a microfiber towels. My car is DSM-it think it is easier to remove scratches from light colored cars.

Good luck!

scratch-x will hide some minor scratches. it will only remove it if the scratch is very very slight as the polishing action in scratch-x is not that heavy. if it doesn't come out you will have to get a heavier cut polish.

Is scratch-x light enough to use on the whole car to get rid of swirls?

no for swirls I would use 3m smr( swril mark remover) you really need a good random orbital buffer to use it though, If you care about your car get a porter cable buffer and learn to use it.
