Saving money

I will most likely be purchasing a '05 TL in June/July timeframe. In the past I have gotten pretty good deals on same year model cars, since the new models were coming in shortly. Has anyone had any luck with lower prices on TL's when the new models are coming in? I don't think the '06 will have any major differences. As always thanks for any replies.

Sure.....I got a pretty good deal on my '04 last September when the '05s were just starting to be manufactured. You should be in a favorable position to negotiate in Sept, Oct, and Nov, but I think Jun/Jul is too optomistic. But then, you might get lucky.

I second that. I decided on a TL in August. No one was willing to discuss discounts until the 05s were coming out.

Prices have already come down some from the beginning of the year. Depending on what you want you may be able to get about as good a deal sooner. You may also save big $s by going out of town.

& how long will you hold onto the car & what kind of mileage will you put on it? The 05 will depreciate faster than the 06, which may or may not matter to you.

Thanks for the replies. I agree, I doubt I will be able to save really anything by getting an '05. Looking at holding onto this car for a long time, around 7-8 years. Maybe I can extend my lease of my current car to get the '06 TL, would make sense if I will not save any money. Just wish I knew if there were any major differences between the '05 and '06, but that is a seperate thread.

oh and as for changes look for the same things that were changes in the 2G tl ... mostly cosmetic ... They will prolly change the headlights and tail light design a bit ... maybe give it that blacked out look ... stuff like that ...

Will be the same car with more options and maybe a sportier edge ... if we are luck a coupe (CL) version will also come out :yay:
