Is it safe?
I was about to trade in my 2002 TL-S for a 2005, but this paint thing has me concerned. Anyone know the manufacturing dates of the cars with paint problems?
Also, has anyone heard even a rumor of an eventual TL-S?
Thanks.

TL is a sport sedan but borderlines between luxury and sports car.
i believe they would have had every sports car nut buying a tl-s if a tl-s was 6spd rwd with a-spec wheel and suspension. and then hit the luxury-sport sedan folks with the fwd 5AT 17" wheels and a luxury suspension.
TL seems very monotone in it's options. i can see why acura does this buisness wise, but i believe they could have captured more of the market if they offered more options.

Also, my car was an 04 (vin 35xxx) and I don't have any chipping problems. Good luck.
No rumors as of yet about the TL-S. Everything is conjecture as of this point.

Bad paint
I'm referring to paint falling off the bumpers. I couldn't tell if it was '04 or '05, but I've read here since that it was '05 as well.
Anyone else with paint problems on the bumpers?
I'm actually considering the TSX. What they really need is a TSX Type S.
