I had the same problem as you coming from an RSX. Mine wasn't an S but it was a MT and it was so much fun to drive. I would LOVE to have another one someday. It took me probably 2 or 3 months to get over it. I had it for 4 years. The TL is a great car but isn't nearly as much fun as the RSX is IMO, but you learn to love the TL after a while. Just give it time.

I felt the same way. I got my rsx in 07 and sold it 2 years or so later. I still miss it to this day. Luckily my homie has one so I just borrow his when I'm bored and wanna drive mt.

I also had a supercharged BOM that i bought brand new back in 2006. It was pretty hard to part out. It was kind of replaced with a base auto TL at first (TL was DD and RSX was weekend car) then i decided to sell both and get a 6MT TL-S

yeah its completely normal give it a couple weeks and youll be fine. Most people think it is so weird to have that much of an emotional attachment to a car but I was really sad too. I remember I went on one last drive in my car right before i sold it which was really hard for me. You put so much love, money, sweat and tears into a car and then all the sudden its just gone. i remember I even had dreams about it the night before I sold it. Luckily I had bought my tl while I still had the old car so it wasn't as bad.

Identical situation, and every once in a while I miss her...but eventually, I got over it and remember that when I had both in my garage for a month...I LOVED driving the TL. Much more refined and FELT faster because of the torque. Plus, I got 6 speed.

Funny enough, held it's value, I sold my 05 for $12000 2.5 years ago with 75K miles on it. At the time, I thought it a fair price. EVERY person coming to see it was like 19 years old too, which confirmed my idea that it was time to move on.

Trust me though, in time, you'll love the TL more. It's a grown up car. I bought mine from my stepdad for $14000, the lease buyout for him...and it was a car I picked for him with the idea that I'd buy it. So I did.

Took me about a day. I went from an '02 RSX-S, to my TL-S and I don't regret any of it.

Away with the unhappy face!!!

Both are great cars. But you definitely made a step up with the TL-S.

Will be no time at all before you get over it

Heh. I'm kind of in the same boat as you. Except I went from a base 5AT TL to an S2000 and now I'm already thinking about going back to a TL (or maybe a G35 coupe). Except this time it will be an S and a 6MT for sure.

You'll get over the RSX in time. They're two different kinds of cars. While I'm sure the RSX was faster and handled way better, the TL can be made to be fairly quick and handle well too. More space, more luxury amenities, more overall room in the car *ahem. me and the gf miss this the most*. I think that with the TL you get 95% of the fun factor of the RSX-S along with a boatload of bells and whistles that you wouldn't have with the RSX. Not to mention the fact that it's a V6 that will still turn over 30+ mpg on the highway.

Don't regret it man, everything happens for a reason. I wish you and your new car all the best.
