Well man it is kind of up to you.
Im stoned, so Im going to coolstorybro you for a moment and maybe after you can make your own decision.
Both will look great in their own way.
The silver will give a real clean look matching the paint job. It will look more oem to the unsuspecting passer-by. Color matching most enthusiasts know is more expensive. A lot of people just dont color match for this reason so some may see it as more refined than leaving it black.
On the other hand, black will mach the tint, roof molding, tires, and any black you may have in the front lip, headlights, tail lights, etc etc so it wont clash at all. From a distance it is much harder to notice a black roof spoiler on a black window. Some people may ask "Why did you leave it black?" or "Do you plan on color matching it?" I know I would ask those questions out of curiosity. A lot of people prefer the two tone silver/black just as much as they go white/black in nearly every enthusiast group.
Personally, I say color match it. Looks better in my opinion. Though I have not color matched mine on my ILX. I plan on painting my roof gloss black and will be matching the spoiler to the black VS my polished metallic paint.
So if you have a silver roof go silver, black roof go black.

I have even seen a Lexus with a black roof and color matched white roof spoiler. It looked great since the window visors were color matched as well.
Also something to think about, if you have black visors it might look odd to have a color matched spoiler. I wouldn't care, but food for though.

Thanks for your input...I think I should be stoned to read this..
I think im leaning towards SSM roof spoiler to match my SSM Trunk Spoiler.
My Roof is black and I do not have window visors yet and not sure if i'll get those in future as they seem pretty expensive.
My rims are black and I'm getting the Type-S Tails done too.
Painting isn't a issue for me cause the car is at the shop, because I got rear ended couple days ago. I can technically go any colour.

With a black roof I don't think anyone will see the roof spoiler if it's black as well. And that's really the only reason to have a roof spoiler, so people can see it. It doesn't serve a practical function lol.
I say get it in SSM, that way it'll be noticeable and go with the rest of the car.

I'd match the roof.

black. it's just not something I'd want to put emphasis on.
it's the type of small mod that does very little for a casual driver but a lot for an enthusiast.

It'll look good but I hear these things get snatched off a lot.

I wouldn't go black for the simple fact you have tint. The one in the picture does not have tint therefore it looks good. With tint, I think it would look better Silver.
