Ok...haven't checked in for awhile. Rondog, I looked at the votes, and saw some close ones. What are your plans for your #1 option?
1.) do we make deep dish version of the Inspyre in 20" with a lip called the Inspyre Type II?

Woirking on the concept to final version for the type S kit right now.

Inspyre Type II was put on hold due to structural hurdles not allowing us to get the deep lip.

Yes we are based out of good ole' Yonkers, NY.

Legend Type II has a 3"+ deep lip, here are the Official CGI's below with a comparrison to the 19" version.

any chance of getting the legend type 2 in 18's or 19's??? If you think about it, you will have much more slaes because customers wouln't want to bend the rims because of some uber large potholes.

So does that mean we should consider the Inspyre Type II as dead?

the only new wheels will be the two types of Legend shown above and the Raven Black Inspyres. Followed by the TL type S lip kit. The other wheels will have to wait until we solve a way to engineer them the way we want or until we can refill our budget again.

Hay Ron,

I want to enter my car into Hot Import Nights, when it comes to Chicago, and I also want to enter into other shows that come along. But I wanted to know is there any chance you will make the lip kit for 04-06 TL? I would definetly like to rock that lip kit on my car for those shows. And plus, Im pretty sure others with 04-06 TL's will buy it to. I have mony in hand. Please, Please consider

RD, considering you have 25% (highest so far) wanting this wheel, do you feel that this is an obstacle that can be overcome this year (smaller lip?)..or...are you focusing on the Legend?
My apologies, the Legend is too busy for my taste and I love the idea of the Inspyre Type II 20" with lip. I would wait awhile for it, if need be

We don't have the time at this point to trouble shoot and problem solve the Inspyre Type II issue, but maybe this pic of the Legend will help translate how the wheel will look. I am confident the Legend will look good, maybe better than the Inspyre. This is just a temporary image from the factory, as you can see, they aren't good photographers. More pics coming in about a week. BTW, my engineer is weighing them now, he said they are pretty light and very strong due to small engineering tricks...

I dunno if it's the angle of the picture, but it doesn't look like the wheel face is flat. It looks like there's more a convex shape to it.

thats the perspective, look how small the back part of the wheel is, its almost like a fish eye lense. The face is flat and the center part drops down twice, once on the spoke and once around the lug nuts.

It has the Privat Netz look with a hump in it kinda. I gotta see the finished product mounted. Did you say the projected price yet?

Pricing can be found here, just scrolln down to the grid and look to the right.

well, it does have that mesh wheel style, but it is definetly different than all the BBS and Netz replicas, I mean they all look so similar, our wheel has much more character so to speak since we designed it from scratch rather than copying other designs, side by side you can see the differences better:

Ron,

I am curious as to know why you went with black raven with machine faced rather than going with chrome? Sorry if it is a dumb question because I really like a black/chrome rim? Any suggestions about what looks best on a Black 04 TL?? Thanks!

Damn! Guess not...

You can only get the Hyper-Black in 20's! I would love to get 20's, but I have the 6MT!! I guess the BBK giveth and taketh away!

I don't suppose we can work 20's in the budget for the BBK's? (don't even think about flaming me if this has been asked and answered - just keep it moving and ignore it fellas! - mi hand is too tired to search, I been shoveling ice this AM, brrrrr!!!)

We had the 20" with BBk clearence at first and we couldn't even squeeze a decent sized lip. So we kept the 19" flat faced to clear the BBK. You can always go with 20" in the rear, 19" front.

And the finishes aren't final, Hyper black which looks like a silver shadow shown in the pics above will be available in all diameters, but the 20" will have a polished lip with hyper black center.

So the RJ798051G with 5x114.3, 19" w/ +52 offset is what I need for my 06 MT TL? (all around same, not staggered - not a fan of that) Or do I need +35 offset? What is the difference between them? Also, that one says the Hyper Graphite - is that the same as Hyper Black? ($$ means make sure LOL!)

Thanks for helping RonDog!

just what to clarify something, you mention hyper black in the pics, but on your site hyper graphite is listed, I'm assuming these are the same?

Ok, here's the deal with all these colors and finishes, I am receiving 3 finishes by the end of the week:
1.) Full Hyper Black
2.) Full Liquid Silver
3.) Graphite with a machined face

The difference wbetween 1 and 2 is just the amount of silver translucent paint sprayed on top opf a black basecoat. So if you can notice, the shot of the two wheels next to eachother, one on the left is Liquid Silver and the one on the right (with the centercap) is Hyper black.
Its so subtle but is alot more noticeable in person.
3 is graphite with machined face, looks like a gun metal or a darker silver. When there is a dual stage paint like hyper black or Liquid silver, the machining process becomes to clumsy looking becasue the amount of paint is much thicker. Either way, I will shoot all three finishes and post them, maybe a poll or something to decide, they are all so similar, the subtle difference will not affect the wheel design much.

And for someone who asked about black chrome... usually Black Chrome is a powder coat, and it is difficult to get a consitent paint covering on it without orange peel. The rate of defect is so high, its not suggested when mass producing, only when making a custom one off set, thats why you really don't see too many wheels with that finish. The Hyper Black looks almost the same, but is alot safer to produce.

Rondog,

Not sure if this matters, but i had meant a rim that was 2 toned (black and chrome) rather than having a black rim and machined face. What rim and size looks best on the nighthawk black TL without putting a mod on the car???

here's the 19" with a diamond cut face and gunmetal paint. I think the Hyper black is better already...
