RonJon Kit

Hey guys, im coming over from the CL community to ask u guys a question. [Backround info] OK, so a few months ago i started planning to swap my slushbox out for a 6spd. But i put alot of thought into it and decided to just get an 07' TL-S.

So the question is I plan on doing a good bit of modding to it, starting with the exterior and I love the RonJon TL kit, but need to know if the rear will fit on the 07' TL-S, i know the front will fit, im putting A-SPEC side skirts on, but it doesnt look like the TL-S exhaust will fit. So i need to know if it will/will not fit. And while im here i figured i'd ask about the hottest mods for the TL-S, being that im not as familiar with the Tl's as i am with Cl's. Im planning on a new J-pipe, intake, exhaust from ATLP, but is there anything else? Do they make TB Spacers, intake plenums or intake manifolds for the TL/TL-S?

Thnx Alot in advance guys

Yes, the RJ kit will fit on the rear. You might have an issue with the front fogs though. Unless you can be creative enough to get them to fit in the RJ lower front grille.

Mark..like Trew said, the RonJon kit will fit. Good choice, by the way!!! There are pictures on the RonJon site of an '07 with fog lights in the grill, so it can be done. Be sure to call RonJon-I know they are VERY helpful with things like fog lights, etc.

Type S tips wont fit on the rear RJ kit, only the base 3g TL will fit. Also the fogs won't fit into the front bumper grill as well. The picture of the car with the fogs on RJ website is mine, it was a custom job, not a direct bolt on. Those are the only 2 things that will give you problems for your TYPE S RJ conversion.

Well wut has to be done to make the front fit? Is it as simple as cutting a hole in the lower left and right grills and mounting them or does it require wiring and alot more work?

^^ Well for you, the wiring is already there, but you need to create a custom mounting bracket for your fogs since the RJ Kit does not have that built in. Just takes some creativity, ask the bodyshop to quote you on a price when they are painting and installing your kit, as that will be the best option for you. The only problem I am having with it now, is that the glare that it produces is pretty bad because the angling is and will be off since its hard to create a bracket and get that to align properly.

If I had a TYPE S, this would be the only reason I wouldn't want to get the RJ kit, because the rears can be managed, its just the fogs. What another person did that I saw is mount the fog behind the grill itself which might be a better option to reduce the glare since you can play with the angles a bit more. Either way, none of this is hard, its just time, creativity, and money.
