RockBlockers Installed Yesterday - Initial Observations
I purchased the RockBlockers some time ago, but have been waiting for a warm day to put them on. Yesterday was my best chance in a while with temps being about 64F or so.
Initial impressions of the protection was that the edges are very nicely cut, and they are THICK. They are some serious protection. Shipping was prompt and service was very friendly.
Got home yesterday and pulled about half way in the garage, leaving the lights on, and I popped the hood. The lens were dirty so I cleaned them with some Stoner's and then wiped them down with some isopropyl alcohol and let them dry. I've had my car for 4 months now (3100 miles) and you could see some minor marks on the lens from my highway driving but nothing major (hence I wanted the Rock Blockers).
Wearing some dust free surgical gloves (just in case I bumped the adhesive with my finger, which I did not) I peeled back just a tiny edge and placed it on the lens. With 98% of the backing still on, I "fit" the whole RockBlocker to the lens, making sure my location was correct. I slowly peeled away the liner, pushing in on the RockBlocker in the middle to adhere it to the lens. I did this until all the liner had come off and the Blocker was on my lens (held by the adhesive in the middle.) I then SLOWLY worked my way out from the middle, smoothing and pushing to minimize any bubbles or marks. I did this same method on both sides.
I spent the next 30 mins or so, just pushing here or there, smoothing things out.
When I was all done, I had no air bubbles bigger than a pinhead in the middle of the RockBlocker. There are some slightly larger ones near the edges that, even though they were open to the air (by peeling up the edge a little), I simply could not get rid of. Certainly nothing major and if I don't show you, I don't think you'll see them. Where the blocker is affixed good, there are super minor "marks" but I suspect these will go away after the adhesion process is done.
Looking at my car from 5 feet away. You can't even tell they're their which is nice. I didn't drive the car today (got cold again) but will check when I get home to see if any bubbles have left, etc... Install was easy if your patient. Hopefully the few small blemishes that are there work their way out once it gets warm outside and the sun beats on them for a little while. Even if they don't, I'm happy with them and love the protection they offer.
SORRY SO LONG! Will update later if situation warrants.

I'm impressed you installed it on your own. When I had my Xpel installed, the installer called the '04 TL a "5 out of 5" installation difficulty. I've had it on since July last year and note no yellowing, and not even pock marks. I've driven the car around 15k miles since install. Enjoy your protection! And next car, it goes on before it leaves the dealer.

I did mine myself too. I'm in Connecticut and it was cold. The garage was a bit warmer. I used a hair dryer to help form the Rockblocker and with some patience, it came out perfect, no bubbles whatsoever. Try taking a hair dryer to it and maybe you'll lose the small imperfections. This stuff is great!

I didn't read the initial post closely enough, I guess. I guess the headlight assembly is not too bad to attach. I used the Xpel headlight kit on my 2G TL and it was quite easy to install. I'm slower about installing it on my 3G, purely out of laziness.

I am please with my RockBusters. I put them on myself and found it very easy. I did one side and waited a couple of weeks to do the other. I wanted to make sure I was pleased with it. At first I was concerned as I had a few cloudy areas. All of these areas cleared up in a few weeks. I still have a few cloudy areas on the second side but I feel certain these will clear up as well. It just took a little longer to clear up than I had expected.

Visit www.rockblocker.com ..... sell and installs PPF manufactured by 3M to prevent rocks, dirt, sand and other airborne debris from damaging the surfaces of your vehicle by protecting the high impact areas. Some of the areas that are protected are the hood, fenders, mirrors, grille, front bumper, headlights and fog lights. He also has colored kits for tailights (smoked) and headlights (smoked, yellow and optic blue).

The headlight protection is easy to install. The paint protection (bumper, hood, etc.) most of the time is a different story.
I guess you are talking about the lights only if it took you 15 minutes.
