Rock to the hood

I came home yesterday and had to take the wife downtown Philly where she works. Any other time I drive the 01 Sonato or 93 Grand Prix. Well I felt like styling so I drove the TL. Well I'm on Rt 42 in South Jersey and I'm rollin about 60 mph when I heard that inevitable sound of a rock to the windshield! Well I immediately lost my religion and cursed then checked to see if my windshield was damaged. I didn't see anything. I dropped my wife off and stopped to get gas. When I got out of my car I saw a big chip on my hood near the windshield and 2 dings in my windshield. I was furious :argue: Took me all day 2 get my composure. Stopped at a couple of garages. One guy told me he could touch it up and it wouldn't be noticeable. I wasn't too comfortable about this though. Color of my car is WDP. I finally got a pretty decent estimate. Gonna cost me 325 to get the whole hood fixed and repainted. The way I see it and I hope I don't come off as being cocky or big-headed. But when u have a car like this u don't patch it up u get it fixed right. Especially on the top surfaces. U can get away with touch-up paint for small chips on the lower parts of the car but when its the hood, top or trunk you want it done right! The windshield looks like it didn't go deep enough to spread so I'm safe there. Anybody that lives in South Jersey knows about Rt. 42 and rocks. My Sonato has like three or four dings in the windshield from traveling this road. Oh well my fault should left it in the garage :ar15:

Agreed 100%... Actually if people care about their cars in any way, they should spend the money to get it fixed right or else you'll end up getting a ghetto job.
