Question To To from Road trip

I went on an 800 mile trip across Texas. Ok. My rode with my daughter to El Paso, and I flew back to Houston, I later drove her car out to El Paso and my car back home outside of Houston.

Now from approx 50 west of San Antonio to the City Limits of El Paso, I did not see one Gen 3 TL (04+) I thought the TL was made to be driven. Looks like its another expensive city car

My 06TL wasn't involve in this trip. It was my 95 Saturn that stepped up to the plate. So much for buying a car that a 12 year old car could make.

I love it. I didn't know George W owned an 06 TL and a 95 Saturn... only he could write something like that.

Let me see....

He went on a 800 mile road trip.
Story: He and his daughter (maybe wife?) drove to El Paso from Houston.
he flew back to Houston alone, and drove back down with his WIFES POS saturn(guessing he didnt want to leave his TL in El paso were they just dumped they daughter in college???).
Then took his TL back home... (looks like someone didn’t plan their trip out)
ON HIS WAY HOME: From San Antonio to El Paso he saw no TL's and was sad.
So he drank a bunch of alcohol and posted this mess...
luckily for you guys and him, i speak 'drunk' sometimes.

How did I do?

Pretty good, I think, until you got to the drunk part. Not everyone possesses the literary skills we all are blessed with, so cut the guy some slack and lay off the comments unless they are constructive and informative.

...so explain where you got the wife, wife's pos saturn, and where he said he drove his TL back.

I wonder if he does this every time she comes home/goes back to school... that's just unhealthy.

I actually went on two 1650 mile round trips across Texas . Ok. I rode with my daughter to El Paso on the first trip, and flew back to Houston. I later drove her (My daughter's)car on the second trip out to El Paso and my Saturn back home to a town outside of Houston.

Hopefully, this clears up the first topic.

It all adds up to me not seeing a Gen 3 on the road on a combine 1500 mile trip.
(San Antonio-EL Paso cities limits basically)

I did see the TL's on what I consider to be short trips between cities. (Houston -San Antonio)

Again, I thought TL's were made to be driven. That was the whole point I was trying to make

Sorry for the confusing in my initial post. I was on my third glass of Egg Nog.

That's is much clearer. I doesn't surprise my that you didn't see many TL's from EP-SA, that's a whole different part of the TL Demo. When I drove from DC to Charlotte I only saw 2 other TL's.

I went on a road trip myself this past weekend. Not that far though. I ended up going to Kitchen Kettle village in Lancaster, PA. The wife had never been to Philly and since we were already in PA, why not? Headed up there caught traffic, changed the route options on the Navi and was walking and eating Philly cheesesteaks in the dang cold, but well worth it.

Maybe everyone is leaving their TL's at home and driving their Saturns like you did

I make that trip twice a year in the TL. I guess you made your trip at the wrong time otherwise you would have seen me.

Is "Canadain" beer different than Canadian beer?

You have a '95 Saturn? I have a '96 SL2, and I'm getting tired of fixing it...

Yes. I had a used motor installed mine earlier this year (April).
It runs great. I was confident enough for it to make the 1650 miles round trip.
I left it with my daughter on the first trip and picked it up on the second trip.
The legal speed limit of 80mph for approx. 475 miles was sweet across west Texas.
My TL had just came off 3 round trips within a month. 1300, 2800, and 700 miles
Add two trips out to west Texas in 2 weeks following that, and that adds up to one tired person. I've enjoyed every minute of this because we had a chance to spend time with our daughter who's in the military, now back state side in El Paso.

I saw plenty TL's going to the East coast and going up passed Dallas to Lewisville Tx.
