Thanks guys. I did search for a while and saw that thread. I was really looking for pics and experience w/ LEDs. I went over to V-Leds and saw what they have.

Murph, are these the ones you have?

HIDs or nothing.

You can pick up a slimline set for around $50 - $60 these days, and MAN is it awesome.

They make HID's for reverse lights?? I think the $9.99 for the LED ones work great as back up lights and they are very bright.

I used PIAA Xtreme White Bulbs, they are neither LED nor HID, they are just a white bulb. I got them off of eBay for around $15 shipped...

No, you have to use an adhesive in order to have the bulbs securely sit withing the housing...which is not difficult at all.

I used H3s.

Hi Guys,
I just wanted to let you know that superbrightleds.com is a new vendor on AcuraZine. We truly appreciate all the business we have gotten from this community and wanted to give a little something back. We carry just about any type of interior and exterior car bulb (excluding headlights) along with a variety of accent lights. If you have any specific questions about our products please let me know.
Thank you again for your business

Hey Adam, which superbrightleds would you recommend for backup lights. With tinted windows it's tuff to see when backing up at night with OEM bulbs. Need something super bright!

At this time our 921-CW12 bulb is the brightest we offer for an Acura TL backup light. It can be found here...http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-b...%2F921-x12.htm
The cool white version is the brightest at around 19 lumens. We currently don't have any high power 921 bulbs, like we offer in 3156 or 1156, which would be ideal. However, we're constantly adding to our product line so that may be something we'll add in the future. Also, be advised we do have a 30 day return policy so if you place an order and are not satisfied with the brightness of the bulbs you may return them for a refund. Thanks for the question.

Has anyone used the 921-CW12. Do you think it would be brighter than the ones pictured above from v-leds?

They will be significantly brighter. V-Leds emits 11-lumen whereas these emit 19 lumen (lumen is the measure of light output)

V-Leds has less LEDs and a diode, which doesn't do dick for this application.

Ha potentially dumb question, but how are you guys taking pics of your reverse LEDs while not having the brakes on/being in the car? Maybe I'm missing something...

Install a custom button in the cup holder that turns on the reverse lights and rear camera to see who you're blinding behind you

I used H3s.

I've heard Rodney77 doing this mod too.

Did you run a seperate harness to power the HID setup? Where'd you splice power? Or did you just power the ballasts directly?

SO you did this before doing the HIDs? HIDs are WAAAAAAAAY brighter lol

instead of doing LEDs in your license plate lights.. consider doing the cold cathodes!! Thats what I did.. and they are WAAAY brighter then the LEDs..
