When I bought my car (07' Type-S) it had an aftermarket res of unknown origin and then nothing after that. It had pretty unpleasant drone between two and three thousand RPM, but it sounded pretty good otherwise though. No guarantee the stock resonator would sound as nice. Personally I think these J-series V6s are prone to drone, and aren't the type of engine you can just delete everything and have it sound good (looking at you V8s). I put a stock exhaust back on my car and plan to modify as time goes on. Current plan is PCD's and a J-pipe, and then maybe delete the mid muffler if it still isn't wild enough.
