Resonator removal.

Will i be able to pass smog if i remove my resonator?

yes.

resonator removal = more sound, more airflow after the cats.

Catalytic converter mods= worry about smog.

consider stage 3, remove the stock resonator and mid muffler, get a dynomax resonator put it in there... that is what I did to my 07 tl-s

When they lifted up my car, i see two resonators..
is there really two of them or is the longer one something else?

Uhhmm, no.

Working from the back:

Tips - left & right

then

Two mufflers - 1 left, 1 right

then

1 Mid- Muffler

then

1 Resonator

then

The Cats.

In the "Stage 3", the mid-muffler is removed and the resonator is replaced.

They both are forms of resonator. The square one is also known as a mid-muffler, and the long tube looking one is a resonator. They both have the same function, so to make it easier on ourself, we call both of them resonators.

As far as how much of a dB increase you are looking for, that will determine which ones you want to remove.
