Hey guys I was hoping some one could help me out. I have a 08 TL-S and I’m needing brakes all around. I got the new pads and rotors all ordered on this past Wednesday. I looked through the forums and found that the Front Brembos use pads made by Centric part #100.10010. The only place I found them was Summit Racing and they called me today saying they are on back order with no ETA. There is a bunch of very similar part numbers for what look like the same pad. Does anyone know where I can still purchase that #100.10010 part? I really don’t want to purchase the OEM ones from the dealership because of the horrendous price. I really appreciate any help! Thank you!
There are different options. Ive heard good thinks from the AutoZone Duralast Gold brand for both rotors and pads. I plan to go with the Akebono brand when I replace mine for my brembos.
So, here are a few thoughts on the subject of the Ferodo pads via a source other than the dealer...
I have heard through the grapevine the Brembo calipers on our cars are the same as those of the Mitsubishi EVO from say 2006. While I do not know if this is actually true, the pads do appear to be the same.
I went to the Ferodo.us web site and came up with the Ferodo part number for the EVO pads. Per the Ferodo site, the part number in question is "FDB1968"
I then found the Ferodo FDB1968 pads available via Amazon for $67.67
I then went to RockAuto and looked up pads for a 2006 EVO and my 2006 TL 6MT, and...
Bingo! Numerous brake pad sets, including the Akebono ASP1001 pads fit both cars
What is interesting is there is not a 100% cross over on the RockAuto site for front EVO/TL Brembo pads; not sure why
Long story short, the Ferodo pads from Amazon look like they'll work, but I suspect you may be blazing a trail for others to follow (or not if they don't work)
Interesting enough amazon doesn’t think they’ll fit either. I live like 20 minutes from Delray Acura, I think I might just order them from their website and pick up at the dealership. I’m Super busy with school this semester, so I don’t think I’ll try and be the guinea pig.

Certainly the safe approach; when the time comes, I may throw the dice and see what happens.
If anyone is still curious about this topic, I just received the pads from Delray Acura. The part number from Ferodo that is printed and stamped into them is FERODO 4447 FF A17. I looked on rock auto and amazon and couldn’t find the same exact pair. Below is the picture I took for reference and Incase someone else can find them somewhere else in the future. These came out to $162.00 at Delray Acura at my time of purchase.
It comes with shims in a separate baggy not attached and some kind of lubricant with Brembo printed on the tubes.
^^^^ I tried to look for it everywhere, even on Fedoro website, search by caliper and seem like the closet thing they had is for Evo with part# FDSXXXX. I paid $65 for my Duralast Max and no need to worry about buying pads again the initial bite is ok, dust is moderate to light. I am not going to circuit even anytime soon.
Interesting; the Ferodo/Acura pads look like this:

Other than what appears to be an irrelevant difference in the anti-squeal backing pads, the only difference of substance is where the pad wear noise maker is located.
I'm thinking I may well try the FDB1968s on my TL when the time comes.
Last time I did brakes I did them on my Accord coupe and I could’ve sworn it had double the material on them. Maybe not that was like 4 years ago now. But I’m definitely excited to get these put on next week.
I agree with thoiboi, if your Accord's pads had much more material on them than the new Brembo pads, you'd chuck that stuff off in a very short while and end up with no friction material at all.
I always remove that pad noise maker before installs
Why may I ask? Although, I have always end changed mine up before the squealing point on my civic and Accord. i usually replace to rotors too instead of turning them. Lol

If you replace the rotors, then the noise makers are effectively redundant. Take'em off and drive until the backing material starts grinding away on the rotor; makes plenty of noise.
Yes but why take the squeal indicators off? To keep from scoring the rotor? I think once I didn't change the rotors. But usually they are warped by the time I need pads.

In theory at least, the sensors start making noise a few thousand miles before the backing plates start contacting the rotors; taking them off allows you to maximize the mileage between brake jobs.
