Replacement Ballasts for 2004 TL - Where to Source?

I've been trying to get a replacement ballast and headlight and running into issues and don't want to pay $3K for OEM Ballasts and ignitors brand new. Twice I got used ballasts from Ebay that stated they would fit and had the right numbers in the picture, but got something that didn't look like my factory ballasts nor fit like them. This second set I got look rusty and in terrible shape, not what was pictured. Right now I'm looking at a junkyard that I can pull them out of myself, anyone have any leads on ballasts and ignitors?

The OEM Ballasts have W3T14371 4250 on the front, and the rear of it has a deeper socket with a rubber grommet. The ones I keep getting sent have different numbers on the front and have a very slender socket with no rubber grommet. I can't even transfer the rubber grommet over as it's too large to fit:

Factory ballast:
04 Ballast Rear
04 Ballast Rear
04 Ballast Front
04 Ballast Front
Ebay Ballast Rear
Ebay Ballast Rear
ebay Ballast fronts
ebay Ballast fronts

No matter what they say, almost everything is from china nowadays. I've mounted ballasts and ignitors from AliExpress about 4 years ago. Now one died. 30$ and I have got new one again directly from Ali.
Changing it is easy so no labour cost.

Your 2004 TL Ballasts have two separate control unit assembly part numbers applicable to your model year as shown below.

Your factory OEM Ballasts with W3T14371 4250 on the front have a part number of 33119-S2A-J01 as shown below.
You can barely make out the W3T14371 on the picture below.

The Ebay ballasts with W3T10471 3627 on the front have a part number of 33119-SCC-003 as shown below.

Thank you @zeta I was trying to figure out why the ones they keep sending wouldn't fit properly!

Just curious, did the ebay sale listing specifically display the 33119-SCC-003 part number or just a general description that the available ballast would fit an 04 TL?

With that said, it's a shame your 04 TL is not factory configured for the non-fitting 33119-SCC-003 control unit assemblies because you could then increase the probabilities by expanding your salvage yard ballast search to include the 04-05 TSX's.

Ebay had listed 33119-S2A-J01 as the part # but sent me what looks like the SCC-003 part no instead.

These have the same issue of having a narrower lip on the backside of the ballast so they won't seal 100% on the bottom of the light. These should work if the car came with SCC Ballasts, but not the SJA ones. Thank you for the link though!
