I see lots of threads about using adapting the 07 TL switchblade key for other/earlier models, but I just need a replacement for my 07 TL-S to replace a lost one of the two keys. What's involved in getting/cutting/programming a replacement & what should I expect it to cost?

 

I know the modified keys were expensive due to all the mods done to them, but just replacing the key for your 07, the switchblade key should be in the $50 range. The programing of the immobilizer varies from $100+ to free if you buy the key from them. The cutting of the key should also be cheap.

I would see what Acura wants to charge and if it is too high call a locksmith, they should be able to do it all for cheaper. Many car dealers including Acura are going out of their way for people in the hope they may buy a car. I lost my wheel lock and went to Acura just to have them remove the lock, they search around and gave me a new key for the lock for free.
