Hi I'm new to this forum and Idk if I can post pics yet. I have a hand me down 05 TL ABP/Camel with 142k. The seats are very dingy from jean dye and the carpet is very dark/dirty from New England winters, etc. The inside just looks gross =/...some boo boos on the outside as well.

I'm going to try to clean it for now, but how much will changing seat covers/carpet cost approx? Also, if I change out the interior I would get a color other than camel, what color would you think looks nice to match the camel plastics and blue exterior. Black seats/dark grey carpet?

Any info about Acura in general would be appreciated. Only ever had hand me downs (ford, toyota), just graduated nursing school and starting to make some $$ to fix things.

 

People don't realize that with certain jeans the dye will transfer to the seats, and even certain coat dyes will leave the color on the armrest, and cannot be removed. Having said that, depending on your area, the least expensive avenue would be to look for a replacement seat(s) in the same color and as far as the carpets, surprising that mats weren’t over the carpets, but if the nap isn't worn DuPont made a cleaner that did a remarkable job of cleaning the carpets. I've seen carpets/mats that thought were to be beyond cleaning and the DuPont foam brought it back to life. This cleaner couldn't be purchased in the normal parts store, but at body/paint suppliers.

Naturally with a lot of aggravation, time and money, any interior color could be installed, but I'd just do what is necesarry to bring the car back into shape.

 

That's my current dilemma :-) I wanna change the floor carpet to a navy dark blue and the seats to all black lteather! Can't wait
