Replace hood or PDR?

I had a appointment with a Acura PDR guy who works at a dealership 1 hour away. After cancelling on me twice when I was on my way to the dealership he finally told me today is the day. He wanted $200 to fix the dent. When I got there he was nowhere to be found. He later messaged saying he can't come today.

As I was leaving I saw him pull in . Anyways he "attempted" to remove the dent, tried for maybe 3 min and told me he can't do it. I know he did not try at all and basically wasted my time and gas. My question is any of you guys think this dent can be popped out or should I rather spend $200 on a aftermarket hood that will be painted?

PDR guy said when they replace the hood they have to blend all the paint from the fenders/bumper.

Take it to a body repair shop, they may be able to pull it out for you :-D.

that's a pretty good size ding (like a football). take it to a body shop and see what they say. body shops usually sublet the PDR work...maybe the guy they use can take it out. if not, then the body would have to either repair and repaint OR replace and repaint which means blending the surrounding panels as well. will be pricey going that route.

It looks like it will need real body work to me. It's probably fixable, but it may not be worth the labor to sand and bondo it.... Replacement is probably your best bet. If you go aftermarket make sure it's "capa certified" which basically means its quality and close or at oem standard.

And yes if it's painted most likely they will blend the fenders. They don't USUALLY blend bumpers though.

Before you do anything, I'd take it to a real PDR guy and see what he says. Sounds the guy you found doesn't know his ass from a hole in the ground.
