Replace Front Motor Mount - Help Please
Hi All,
My 2005 WDP Auto NAVI has 90,000 miles. No probs except the power steering pump recall.
Recently figured out that the front motor mount was bad and bought new one at dealer ($80).
I have service manual, but can't find procedure, just some pics.
I would love some instructions, if you have done this job.
Thanks in advance

There are 4 bolts at the base of the mount
And 1 at the center connecting to the motor
In order to gain access you can do 1 of 2 things, have the proper tools (an 2foot swivel extension) or remove the passenger ide fan and rad reservoir bottle then access the mount via the indirect route
There is a rubber cover over the mount which I believe came with the new mount you can just disgard the old one if a new one has been provided
Next there is a tiny air hose connected to the bottom of the mount
Its for idling purposes (air is pumped into the mount during idle so that you don't get any vibrations).. Similarly I believe it releases the air when the car is in drive
In order to get the mount out you will have to prop the motor up slightly, best way is a piece of wood underneath the trans, you slide it underneath and lower the car on it, then you will see the mount has some wiggle room
Please do send me a message if you run into any problems

are you certain about that air operation? its for idle?
my gen2 has vac assisted motor mounts which tighten the mount when you hit the throttle--makes it hold tighter

Hey StillHere153,
Many thanks for the explanation. I am tackling this later today, finally.
01tl4tl - yes the air is for smooth idle, according to dealer.

sales dept or the Head Tech says its for idle??--
wouldnt surprise me , being acura innovation- just curious that it went opposite --early gen2 had vac boost- then it was not used for years- now its for smooth!
