I just got two relatively minor dings on my 04TL's hood and trunk from hail damage.

If I get them repaired by a professional, will it look new or will I most likely still notice them?

Bodyshop can make it as new as it gets. I'd even try those paintless dent people where they try to pop it from inside.

The sooner you bring it in the better. The metal has less time to set up memory.

Paintless Dent Removal is the way to go - I had a ding on my beloved NSX (aluminum) and Dent Wizard repaired it so that it was unnoticeable - I would certainly do that before going the Bpndo/lousy re-paint route.

PDR could not repair the crease some moron put in my 2004 S2000, and it had to be re-painted 3 times! Very reputable shop - the first re-paint of the right rear quarter had 32 defects! It was a nightmare, thankfully now corrected.
