Removing the spoiler and adding a lip

So my car came with the trunk spoiler and I want to remove it and go another route. I really want a roof spoiler and don't like it with the trunk spoiler. Since I have had the trunk spoiler for quite some time, it needs to go. Out with the old, in with the new. What am I getting myself into here by removing the trunk spoiler that is bolted to the trunk? Would it be worth it to do, or even easier to swap someone's trunk with mine that wants a spoiler? I don't want to get half way through with it and be stuck with holes in the trunk and such. Does the lip spoiler cover these holes?

This was addressed before in another thread, so not my info, but it said that the lip spoiler will not cover the holes. You would have to repair the holes and have it repainted which will cost some $$. Best bet is to do what you said, find someone that wants the wing spoiler and trade trunks. But that want be easy as I don't think there is that much demand for the wing spoiler, at least not in my opinion, so that'll cost some time searching. So no easy answer either way. But good luck to you.

^I can confirm this.

The trunk spoiler has three bolts in a "triangular" shape.

Will it cover the two holes on the edges at-least?
