Well I think I may have a solution for you in my search to find a solution to eliminate the speed limiter on the 07-08 tls 5at. You will have to check and make sure but maybe the Apexi RSM. I know it says it controls the speed limit cut. But I am unsure of the rpm cut.

BTW doesn't it suck when instead of helping you or providing you with the knowledge you seek they only criticize you. Trust me if you listen to those same people you'll always be playing follow the leader instead of blazing your own trails.

On second thought maybe he should go ahead and over rev it and "blaze his own trail" right to the dealers service dept when he fucks up the valve train, wrist pins, timing chain, or rod bearings.

Sounds like an awsome idea to me.

I have no idea what his intentions are so I am in no position to say what is good for him and what is not. Are you in the position to say so?

And sure all those things are posibilites but so is getting into a car wreck when driving at all, so should that stop him or you from driving?

How do you know he doesn't have big plans to build up his car to be able to handle increased rpm? You know like switching from a hydraulic lifter system to a solid lifter system with stronger valve springs and stronger lighter valves? You don't I don't no one here but he really does. So no one is in a position to tell him what is best for him. At least I certainly don't feel that I am. Maybe you do.

BTW your assumption that he will over rev it says alot. Maybe he just wants to be able to increase his rpm not over rev it like you say. Again statements based upon a persons own speculation of another persons capabilities....nice.
