Removing RB Headlight Tint?

I'm removing because it cuts down my visibility quite a bit; I do a lot of night driving.

I would just peel away, apply some Goo Gone, and call it a day?

Any particular methods you used?

It's fine, just goo gone and pull off slowly. Then goo gone again and wipe it down.

Depends on how long it has been on there, since it is pretty much a vinyl it has a tendency to harden and begin cracking when you start to peel on it.

Recommendation apply some fleece blankets soaked in water to soften up the vinyl.

Or you can try using a hair dryer to heat up the adhesive if its still relatively new...

I remember when I had vinyl on my windows (design reasons back in the day) actually had to take a razor blade to it because it was about 2 years old

your best bet to get it off would be to heat up a corner of the tint, slowly peel and heat the tint. That way the glue gets sticky and melts somewhat, loosing adhesion and you peel. Then take a cloth that is slightly wet with water and put some goo-gone or WD40 on it, take care not to get it on any paint, if you do, wash immediately.

Update;

Uninstallation went perfectly. I've only had it on about 4 / 5 months, so the adhesive wasn't rock hard.

Hairdryer worked perfectly.

No, it doesn't effect the actual headlight itself unless it's been on there a long time (some of the adhesive is left behind).

I took mine off because it cuts down my visibility quite a bit, my eyes are bad as it is .

I don't have spider cracks, but I do have stress cracks. It could be from the headlight tint .. but it could have happened right after I removed it with a hairdryer.

If your headlight is cool and then exposed to higher temperatures GRADUALLY, it won't crack.

That's my theory at least.

Mine cracked some too, also not sure if it was directly heat related or not.

^mine cracked b/c of the tints...i never used heat guns to apply them on in the first place...i think it's the dark tint that collects the heat and makes the surface way too hot for the headlight and it cracks under the added temp stress.
