Removing this metal trim piece?

Does anyone have an special method/trick/tips of removing the upper portion of this trim piece? I got everything else out but the top. I'm really afraid of breaking the GPS bezel that it's attached to

its just clips there, pry on it a little harder. Nothing is going to break, at the most you will loose the clips, replacement ones are 39 cents each.

I think you pry on the bottom...

They suck! Worst you can do is bend the metal trim... The strips cost $70 ish. And will pop and rattle...

Good luck.

Thumbs up AZ knowledge base FTW!

I love this place...I was just looking at mine; the scratches caused by the previous owner not being careful buckling his seat belt, wondering if I could get those pieces off without busting something expensive...lol. Thinking about having them overlayed with CF(the fake OEM trim just ain't gonna do, since the rest of my mods are all real CF) AZ'ers are invaluable

Turn your heat on full blast for a few minutes before starting to pry that piece off. It will heat up underneath and cause it to be alittle more easier to pry off once its loosen up abit. As stated start near the cup holders and work your way up. I'd suggest using a butter knife wrapping it on a cloth and using that to slowly pry the piece up. When you get close to the top make sure you are careful as stated their are some clips up there and you can potentially loose those clips or break them if not careful hope that help.

Also if you do take it apart it's good to put a cloth between your flat head screw driver. Twist it gentle. Start from the bottom and work your way to the top. Keep on twisting the screw driver as you move upward. Top section is kinda tight but apply some force.
