Removable Exhaust Tips?

does the 04 TL have removable exhaust tips, im not really that big of a fan of the Square Tips, does anyone know if we can get circular tips or if they come off or some other alternative?

Cmon, wait a bit more.. 71 minutes of waiting time on a Friday isn't a whole lot, right?

I think the square tips go well with the the styling on the TL, very liney. If you removed(cut) the square tips, then you would not be left with a round pipe coming out that far, but rather a round pipe frenched in of which the exhaust would probably melt the bumper. Even if you got round tips the bumper has square(sort of) cut outs.

They are welded on and need to be cut off with a torch or a hacksaw.

Several threads on this in the past. Most people think a round peg in a square hole (not quite square but you get the idea) doesn't look good.

You can see in the picture they come attached.

i was forced to put some oval tips on my mufflers due to a faulty valet experience. as much as i would have loved to keep the oem look i dont think the new tips look that bad. i put the new tips on middle of june...no melting yet. they do have to be welded on...you could possibly put flanges on if you wanted to alternate although there is not a lot of room to work with in the bumper cover cutouts.
