Kinda lucky I live in a 1 plate state, but to be honest if I didn't I would just mount the damn plate where it is meant to go. I think all the ones that are mounted off center looks like crap. Just my opinion.

May be a silly question, but i recently purchased one similar to this and I was looking at the front bumper and didn't know how you managed to drill upwards, as in get a good straight angle? it seemed as though the lower grille insert was in the way... suggestions to how you did this?

thanks man

it was awhile ago that I did this but I don't recall having any trouble getting it vertical. it would depend on the type of drill you are using and also I see your car is an 07 so your front bumper is slightly different from mine. the material you will be drilling through is not very thick so the angle shouldn't affect the look or function of the bracket if it is not perfect. as long as its close

I actually just did this today. I didn't drill completely vertical because the drill would hit the bumper, so the hole is at a bit of an angle. But once the screws are screwed in it sits just fine. I missed this thread and was riding with a Home Depot bracket, so thanks for this one!

i did this mod almost a year ago and it went very smooth. i drilled upward into the bumper , but in the area where the fog grill is located. i drilled towards the end of that area, not the front. if that makes any sense... lol. i dont think i physically drilled into the bumper, but since its been so long i have no clue.

I got Rho-Plate, but since it's has one connection, mine was getting loose and keep turning.
I was getting sick of it, but now I used some kind of glue for bolt that prevents vibration. That did the work. It doesn't move anymore and probably won't be able to take it out easily
