Regular gas in 3g TL
Regular gas in 3g TL
Hi guys,
I'm from long island NY, due to hurricane sandy there is a major gas shortage in the area, and now we are getting hit with a noreaster full of snow!
Anyway i just waited in line for gas to find out they only had regular.
I filled up anyway hoping it wouldn't be a major mistake.
Is their anything i can do like a gas treatment or would the 1 tank of regular not be much of a problem?
Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks.

I guess this is the exception to the usual octane thread since this is a special situation. Yes, it will be fine for a short period of time. Drive it nicely and give her some premium as soon as you can. If you can find some toluene or xylene at a paint store, they're roughly 116-118 octane. A gallon to a full tank will bring the octane up enough. One gallon would be fine. But a tank or three of regular won't hurt anything as long as you don't make a habit of it.
