I got 04 tl I was thinking of changing the headlights to the 07 type s .. I'm just thinking in our reg tl we got fog lights in our headlights .. So if I buy the type s ones will I still have fogs in my headlights even if the type s headlights comes with day light running light .. :-/ I'm confusied

It is not a direct fit.
Also, what your car is wired for will be what it does no matter what light you put on...meaning, your OEM built in foglight will still be that even if it's sitting in a housing that is intended for a DRL (although I don't think the bulb fits). You have to do a full conversion to use the new lights, I think.

If you run your fog lights in the drl section of the type s lights it will melt the silver ring. You will lose your fogs. You can put in some leds but they will pretty much be for looks only. As well as that the corner marker bulb is different.

You have options.

The corner bulb is not biggy.. it goes from a 7443 to a 1157. You can rewire to fit, I did it. As for the silver shroud , they are rigth , it will melt. I went from base 07 to type-s, so the i already had DRLs in place, to my understanding you can buy a drl module.. not sure how that works.

What did you have to purchase to rewire from 7443 to 1157 ? I assume the stock 7443 harness will not plug into the 1157 bulb holder ?

Well nothign but butt connectors.. i was doing a swap out so the harness where there laready. The color of the wires dont match so i had to play with them to make sure they were functional and not hyper blinking.
